One of the best things of Madrid is the opportunity of enjoying a walk in Retiro park, which lies in the center of the city. In fact, it is the only recognizable spot from the space, according to this image taken from the ISS by a Japanese astronaut.

One of the things I especially miss from Germany are the stands in the street, where you can buy some food “zum mitnehmen” (to take away) and eat will you walk. Of course, this cannot be made with all kind of food, but kebab (the best kebab in the world outside Turkey can probably be found in Germany, as Turks are the most important foreign community), sausages or salads are perfect for a walk.
In my last visits to Munich, which were in summer and spring, I could also enjoy something else: strawberries from the fruit stands, which together with the asparagus stands (yes, only asparagus), offering colorful views in the rainy days… Because it doesn’t matter the day: if you go to Germany, take an umbrella because it will rain.
