If you haven’t been to Madrid in the last few years, you might have not seen the four new buildings in the north of the city… Otherwise, it is impossible you haven’t done so.

They are the tallest buildings in the city and are in the more elevated area of Madrid, which makes them visible from all over the region, as they are clearly distinguished even when you are 40 or 50 km away. (this picture is from my colleague Jose Carlos… amazing).

As usual, they are involved in a lot of controversy, as not everybody likes this new glass arquitecture. I personally like them quite a lot. I think they give Madrid a new modern icon, which it lacked before, and empowers a modern area, where also a new futuristic congress centre is going to be built in the coming years.

As you know, I was looking for an apartment. Yesterday I finally found one, which was within budget, which I liked and which was located in my area of interest. It is quite closer to the city centre than my current one, the equipment and furniture are nice, and it has tons of light. I simply could not let it go.

In a bit more than one week, I will start with the moving. From now, I can relax… or start getting stressed by something else, of course.

Claro que sí… Primero pones un anuncio diciendo que es un apartamento y luego aclaras que es “pequeñito”: un espacio único de 7 metros cuadrados. Eso sí, tiene de todo: microbaño, lavadora, frigorifico, microondas, TV, cocina vitrocerámica… No sé cómo narices han metido todo eso en 7 metros cuadrados… Dan ganas de ir a verlo aunque sólo sea para ver la obra de arte. Bueno, y porque está tirado de precio, sólo vale 395 euros, lo que supone un rebajón de 11 euros al mes respecto al anterior inquilino…

No entiendo como es posible que lo hayan visto 2615 personas y todavía siga sin alquilarse…

This is probably one of the most serious clown I have seen in my life. He had the best spot in the Retiro park, but he did not have many children around… In fact, he only had one girl with her mother as public at that time, but they did not seem to be having lots of fun either.

Maybe both of them just wanted to enjoy the feeling of the sun on your skin. Really nice weekend in Madrid: sunny, warm, not too many people as some of them have already left for their Easter holidays. Once more, it’s confirmed: the best time to be in Madrid, is when (almost) everybody is gone… Even the weather is better!
