In August, we had organized a trip to Scotland. For cost reasons, we flew to an airport next to Nottingham, and therefore we had to cross half England until we reached Scotland. But before that, we made an stopover in Lake District, which is the largest Natural Park in England. As we say in Spain, “An image is worth more than a thousand pictures”, here you are a couple of thousand words…
The blue line in these sheep is to distinguish them from the neighbour's ones. There were blue, orange, pink, yellow sheep all around. Quite funny.
Really impressive, and we could probably have stayed there for a couple of days, instead of just one night… but we had other goals… 😉

In June I also went to Oxford, as it is relative close to London. It is a city living for and thanks to one of the most important universities in the world. It was pretty quiet as the students were on vacation, but still a very nice walk in a well-conserved city… especially if you end up eating Sunday Roast, thanks to the wise indications of our hosts. 🙂
Oxford is also very interesting for the Harry Potter’s fans, as one of its colleges, Christ Church, has some scenarios which appear in some of movies, like the dinner room or the courtyard.
Of course, it has a river, where the students can train for The Boat Race, the popular rowing race between Oxford and Cambridge. As I wrote a couple of line before, there were no students, and no one was training either, so one could take a ride in one of these small ships, like if you were in Venecia…
