Bit of Homesick

I love to go out these April’s nights and feel the special atmosphere present in Alcoi. But this year, I will be (once more) too far away from it. Thanks to Youtube and MP3, at least I can bring some of that magic to my living room in Stockholm.

This is happening in my town, Alcoy/Alcoi, every night in April. Moros y Cristianos festivities take place from 21st to 24th April, and during the whole month people involved in this go out with bands of music, to rehearse the big day: “La entrà”, a huge parade.

By the way, I received today an e-mail with a Chiki-Chiki (spanish candidate in the Eurovision song contest) version for Moros y Cristianos. You can listen and read it in this blog (it’s in valencian).

No Where

3 days out there. In the middle of nowhere. At least, this time, we slept in beds with heating, etc. 3 days of interesting training, lots of chatting, sauna, and relative disconnection from daily work. Here you are some photos.

Intense Weekend

Between party and party, some sport and some home-made Paella. 🙂

Sit down

Te sientas?

Sitting down. That’s the only thing I want after running 10 km with JC. We are training for Sunday’s race… if we get then alive.

Are we skiing?

Yesterday afternoon I went for a walk to the island in front of my apartment. It was really cold, but the sun was hiding, and I could take a lot of photos. Some as example.

Sunset in Stockholm

But then, this morning, the lake was half iced, and it was snowing… What can I do with such awful weather? A friend called me: “Let’s go skiing. There is a place near Stockholm, and we can spend there couple of hours.” Great!

Flottsbro (I)

First problem: the car only had summer tyres, and it was snowing and sometimes icy. So we had to walk 2 km to the “resort”. Second problem: the resort was closed. Only some parents with their children were using the slopes. So did we, we played with the snow, we went up hill and down hill, and back to the car (2 more km).

Finally my friends had a plan-B: a brunch with some Swedes, and I joined them. Nice afternoon, with changes of plan included.

Just one question: Where are these two ladies with the dog and the BABY going?

Where are they going?
