From right now, if you have a mobile phone with a web browser, you can access this blog in an adapted style, thanks to the WordPress Plugin: WordPress PDA & iPhone. It has been the only one which keeps the images within the screen (in some of them the images were too big, so you had to scroll horizontally, and in some others, it just removed the images from the posts)… Still, it is not perfect as it does not keep the aspect ratio for them.
Disclaimer: Yes, I’ve done this because I do have a new phone with Internet… 😉
Firstly, laws are made in Spain. After that, people must be requested daily to follow them once in a while. It’s exhausting.
I read this in the ADN newspaper while having a coffee and a toast in a pretty big cafeteria (*), with many people around smoking…
(*): The spanish laws ask cafeterias, restaurants and bars, bigger than a certain size to have two differentiated areas for smoking and non-smoking customers.
I’ve been silent in this blog already for a couple of weeks. The reason behind this is mainly that I have finally moved to another apartment, which has meant lots of packing and unpacking and so on, and of course of all kind of paperwork, which has kept me quite busy. Apart from that, I’m experiencing lots of problems with the ADSL installation in the new apartment (I guess I will write about this and other telecom issues in the future) which also prevents me from any update.
Now, I’m on vacation and I do not plan to post much more in the short-term. Hopefully when I’m back, the ADSL will be ready soon, and I’ll be able to write some more updates then. 🙂
One of the best things Madrid offers is the oportunity to escape from it in the weekends, and a whole bunch of possibilities to practice some hiking, and breath some fresh air (normally missing in the city centre). This weekend I was thinking of going somewhere in the mountains, but the weather is not very good so far (raining) and the forecast is not better. Anyway, this idea reminded me I had some pictures in my hard drive from last time I went to Navacerrada with some colleagues from work.
It was a nice saturday, hiking a couple of kilometres in the north side of Navacerrada, and driving to La Granja de San Ildefonso where we enjoyed a great meal (in the spanish way: a big first plate, a huge second one… and dessert, of course), and we headed to the palace gardens for a more relaxed walk (the food needed some movement 😉 ).
I spent last weekend in Valencia because I attended a wedding of a friend on Friday.
I decided to stay in Valencia the rest of the weekend so I could meet some friends living there whom I don’t meet too often, and also enjoy the city during some nice walks under the sun.
Now, back in Madrid, packing and unpacking in the evening after working… It’s not the best plan, is it?
